The Black Parent Group Chat was created to give Black families access to the kind of information, community, and shared knowledge that too often lives in silos.
What started in November 2025 as a series of social media conversations quickly grew into a deeply engaged community of over 25,000 parents, caregivers, and educators across the United States and beyond.
At its core, this is a space for people raising Black children to come together and be honest about what it takes to support them—academically, socially, and emotionally.
Many of us are navigating systems that were not designed with our children in mind.
We’re making decisions about schools, opportunities, and environments without always having access to the information, networks, or insight that make those decisions easier.
And too often, the most valuable lessons (the ones that could help another family avoid a misstep or move with more clarity) are learned in isolation. Black Parent Group Chat was built to change that.

We believe there's no one “right” way to raise or educate our children.
Our families span public schools, private schools, homeschool, and everything in between. What connects us is not a single approach, but a shared commitment: we want the best for our children, and we are intentional about how we get there.
We also believe that knowledge should be shared, not gatekept.

Black Parent Group Chat is a growing, community-driven hub for resources, conversation, and collective learning.

Everything we build is rooted in one idea:
we move further, faster, when we share what we know.
